Shutdown in Sikkim not a success in entirety with some areas open and some closed even as the 11th foundation day of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) is underway. While the 48-hr shutdown was called by the SDF a 24-hr strike has also been called by the Sikkim Republican Party along with the Hamro Sikkim Party today. Clash between the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) and Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) supporters was also witnessed at Namchi in Sikkim. The protest over “foreigner” tag issue also seen in Darjeeling too with Bharatiya Gokrha Parisangh taking out a rally.
