Sikkim’s Minister for Roads and Bridges, N.B. Dahal, paid a visit to the NHPC Teesta Stage 6 project site on Monday, where he met with the NHPC Executive Director and other senior officials. During the meeting, the minister emphasized on the urgent need to restore the damaged bridge and directed the Executive Director to expedite the restoration work, the ministry said in a statement.
“Minister Dahal assured the NHPC team that the state government was committed to supporting all development efforts and would extend full cooperation to ensure the timely completion of the project. He stressed on the importance of faster project delivery for the benefit of the local communities,” the statement added. (THW)
