Darjeeling, Sept. 13: The Darjeeling district administration will launch a portal to enable single window clearance for setting up Durga Puja pandals in different parts of the district.
Darjeeling district magistrate Preeti Goel told reporters here that the various puja committees can apply for permission through the portal www.darjeelingpujapermission.in. “This is a single window system through which we will give permissions to puja committees,” she said.
Goel said the officials of police, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and fire department were given training on the use of the portal on Thursday. “Earlier, people had to go to different places to get an NOC, but now they can file applications through this medium (portal) and get permission from one place,” she added.
