Rapgey Lepcha (17) and Funghang Subba (18) two footballers from Sikkim have joined the country’s top clubs: East Bengal and Mohammedan Sporting Club respectively. They are undergoing training in Kolkata.

 Their selection has come as a proud moment for Sikkim and the Sikkimese. Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang Goay has congratulated the young players and has wished them success. Expressing his happiness on their selections to the top notch football clubs, Golay said that the state government is committed to give boost to the sports in the state.
