Five persons died when a car they were travelling in fell into a gorge in West Sikkim, almost 60 km away from the district headquarters Geyzing.

 A Police source who could not be quoted said, “The accident came to the notice at around 8.30 am on Friday.” He said “The car in which five people were travelling met with the accident at Lang Khola turning on Chongrang-Yoksom road. Among those who died are Abikeshar Dahal the driver and the owner of the car, his relative Abikey Dahal, Chandra Gurung and two others. All of them were the residents of Nesa village under Yoksom Tashiding assembly constituency.

The car was going from Gereythang to Nesa when it fell into a 500 ft gorge.
