The ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) in Sikkim won two assembly seats uncontested as the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) candidates withdrew their nominations for the by-elections, polling for which was supposed to be held on November 11.

Aditya Tamang (Golay) the son of the chief minister and the SKM president Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) won uncontested from the Soreng Chakhung constituency after Prem Bahadur Bhandari of the SDF withdrew his nomination on Tuesday. Aditya Golay was the MLA from the same constituency from 2019 to 2019. In the April 19 2024 assembly election, his father, the Chief Minister, contested from this seat and won. Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang had also won from another constituency Rhenock. He retained the Rhenock seat while he resigned from Soreng-Chakhung. This had necessitated by-election in the Soreng Chakhung seat.
Satish Chandra Rai, the SKM candidate, also won uncontested from Namchi-Singhithang after SDF candidate Danial Rai withdrew his candidature. The seat had fallen vacant after Krishna Kumari Rai, the wife of the Chief Minister, resigned after winning the seat in the June elections.
In the June assembly elections, the SKM had won 31 of the 32 seats while the SDF had won one seat.
The lone SDF MLA later joined the SKM.
With the SKM winning the by-elections uncontested, all the 32 MLAs now belong to the ruling party. EOM
